Last day of April - Roundup Time!
What books and/or magazines did I read this month? a trashy romance novel by Karen Hawkins, the first half of Coastliners, Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, most of Cathy Z's book, and again I know there was another book. Oh, yeah, I finished the Time Traveler's Wife. What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month? American Idol, Everwood, and 7th Heaven. I have gotten away from 7th Heaven, but it is going off the air and I want to see how they end it. We used to love that show so much here. I finally watched Crash. What special days did I celebrate and how? Easter and Randy's birthday. I can't believe that my college Sweetie is in his 40s now. What illnesses or health concerns did I have in April? nothing major. Pat still has his allergy shots weekly and I still take my Prilosec. What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family? We celebrated Easter with Dave and Laura and the Mileys. Pat and I went out to dinner with Cyndi and Ian one night, and I went to my monthly GNO with the old Arch St girls, Kelly, Laura, and Susan.
What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try in April? No new foods that I can think of. But I tried Youell's Oyster House for the first time.
What special or unusual purchases did I make?Well, in NYC, Patrick and I bought a huge bag of fortune cookies from a street vendor for $2 in Chinatown.
What were this month’s disappointments? Not enough exercise, no weight loss, Matt and Ally broke up and it was hard to see him hurting through his first heartbreak.
What were my accomplishments this month? Ummm, nothing major that I can think of.
Any thing else noteworthy to record about April? I saw Matt Dillon in NYC. And he is even cuter than he was in the 80's.

Where is my spring?

I want spring. We had such a teaser week this past week. It was sunny and warm..hitting the mid 80's on Thursday. I didn't even mind sitting at the teack meet until almost 7 o'clock. Anyway, that's gone. It's rainy and cold and miserable here in PA today. I want the sunshine and warmth back. I hate the cold!
Ok, I am done with my whining now. I have stuff to accomplish this weekend and I can't do it in full whine mode. I want to drag Matt to a paint store and pick out paint for his bedroom. His new bed should be in soon and we will need to rearrange and redecorate his room. I am excited for it to be done. I love decorating, even though I am so very bad at it. I need to clean today. I straightened up the first floor yesterday, but today I have to do the real stuff, wipe down baseboards, dust, scrub toilets. Yuck. And the big one. I need to force Patrick to clean outthe pit or get involved myself. His room could be condemned at this point and I can't stand it anymore. So it could be a very long day or even weekend.
And after it's all said and done....I really want to scrapbook. I am feeling the creative urge to sit down and get some pages done. We'll see what happens.

I also read a few books...reread The Great Gatsby, The Good Life by Jay McInerney, and something else that I am drawing a total blank on. Birthdays--Joey and Raymond, Jeffrey F. Brianna's First Communion, and the 21st anniversary of Randy and I starting to date. What illnesses or health concerns did I have in March? None other than that I still need to take my Prilosec What fun stuff did I do with my friends and/or family? Took a class with Donna Downey, went to the shore with the Tunitises, saw a movie What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try in March? some new recipes... basil chicken, pork chops with apple pan sauce , ate at the Old Homestead Steak House at the Borgata in AC.
